Subsea Pigging Philosophy, Pig Launching, Pig Retrieval & Reload

Subsea Pig Launcher retrieval, reload and re-installment procedures for the next phase. Nexus has the capability in terms of pre-commissioning and commissioning of subsea pig launching systems.

Commissioning Procedures

Nexus subsea pigging team has successfully provided its expertise to Petronas on the Kanowit Project by writing the Commissioning Procedures - for launching 4-pigs using Aker Solutions SAPL (Subsea Automated Pig Launcher). Gas flowing from KASS-A wells was choked and carefully diverted to launch 1-pig at a time.
Subsea Pigging

We are also providing the Subsea Pig Launcher retrieval, reload and re-installment procedures for the next phase. Nexus has the capability in terms of pre-commissioning and commissioning of subsea pig launching systems. Our team also wrote the topside pig receiving and retrieval procedures.

Subsea Pigging Philosophy

For Deepwater applications pig launcher is typically located on the topside with a pigging loop that enables the pig(s) to move through the subsea pipelines into a manifold header, around the pigging loop and into the second manifold header into the pipeline, up the riser and into the pig receiver. Our team also wrote the topside pig receiving and retrieval procedures.
